Buck 65 is both a rapper and a CBC Radio 2 host best known to Drive listeners as Rich Terfry.

While out in Victoria in support of his new album "Neverlove," Terfry posted a lengthy tour diary on his Buck 65 Facebook wall in which he discusses, well, what we're all discussing these days -- sexual harassment.

He opens by acknowledging the challenges women face just by existing, admitting that when walking behind a woman on a sidewalk at night, he'll often change his route just to avoid seeming like a threat and then notes that when his niece was born "one of the first emotions I felt was sadness over the thought of her ever being hurt."

This brings him to workplace harassment where he writes about a woman he knew who told him about a case of sexual harassment but told him not to report it.

"Her story made me angry and I wanted to say something to management, but she didn't want that hornet's nest stirred up," he writes.

"I couldn't do it. Knowing what I knew made walking the halls uncomfortable sometimes. I can't imagine how terrible it must have been for her. I was relieved the day she told me she quit. But of course, it didn't mean she could stop living with the echoes. She always will. It's not fair."

Buck 65 then relates a personal tale of workplace harassment that he experienced when he was young, and which did not turn out well after he was pressured into reporting it.

"When the person who made me feel uncomfortable was confronted, they accused me of doing what they did to me. When I was informed of this by someone at human resources, I quit on the spot. What a nightmare," he writes.

"It’s not the same thing. It’s just that I can try to begin to understand why people don't speak up sometimes."
