The 2014 AMAs kicked off as all award shows do, with a red carpet procession of celebs showing off their fashion sense (or lack thereof) as they make their way inside.
This year's American Music Awards boasts performances by acts ranging from Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and 5 Seconds of Summer to Garth Brooks, Maroon 5 and Sam Smith. A purportedly controversial display of "Booty" by Iggy Azalea and Jennifer Lopez is on the roster, too.

Other nominees and presenters include Canadian rockers Magic!, Jhene Aiko, Elizabeth Banks, Jamie Foxx, Lucy Hale, Heidi Klum, Mary Lambert, Rose McGowan, Kevin O'Leary and Meghan Trainor.
