Evander Kane, Winnipeg Jets Player, Does Pushups With Money, Is An Affluent Troll (TWEETS)

This Winnipeg Jets Player May Be The World's Richest Troll

Being a hockey player is tough.

You have to endure hardships like working for two hours a night, and gathering money in bunches heavy enough to do pushups with them. What an outrage!

That might be the reaction that Vancouver-born Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane had in mind when he posted the following photo to his Instagram account on Monday, in what was clearly an attempt to troll people.

See, the photo came just under two years after Kane posted another one of himself on Twitter flashing mad cash in Las Vegas, in what was an homage to boxer Floyd Mayweather's "money phone" picture.

That tweet caused a stir because it came during an NHL lockout in which the league was negotiating a new Collective Bargaining Agreement that affected how players were paid.

This time, there are no labour issues involved, and Kane explained Tuesday that he was just having some fun, QMI Agency reported.

"You can take what you want from the picture," he told reporters. "It was taken a while ago, good times obviously. That's why people follow you on Instagram and social media, to see what you've done or what you're up to. It's all in good fun."

The Jets play the Oilers Wednesday night. There was no word at press time on how many pushups he did in advance of the game.
