The hijab has arguably become one of the most talked about (and controversial) garments in the western world.
In recent years, the headscarf, typically worn by Muslim women, has appeared in the news on multiple occasions. Back in February, a Muslim woman filed a lawsuit against Abercrombie & Fitch after claiming they refused to hire her because of her headscarf. And earlier this month, a woman was asked to remove her hijab in a Quebec courtroom, after a judge argued that she was not "suitably dressed" for court.
Some people, like artists Qinza Najm and Saks Afridi, have spoken out against the western world's negative views on the hijab. Through their performance art piece titled #DamnILookGood, they're out to prove that hijabs (when worn by choice), and the women who wear them, look great just the way they are.
And if you ask us, women who wear hijabs by choice are just as beautiful as those who don't. And not to mention, they have killer style.
