Police in B.C. have cancelled an Amber Alert for a toddler who was allegedly taken from her home by her biological father on Monday morning.

Alysha Lyle, who is 18 months old, was reported missing after a "domestic custody incident" between the parents on Monday morning.

Alysha and her father, David Harold Gordon Lyle, were found in Merritt, B.C., about 300 kilometres from Alysha's Tsawwassen home, after police issued an Amber Alert.

An RCMP officer spotted Lyle's SUV and safely pulled it over, said Delta police acting Sgt. Sarah Swallow.
