The FIFA president himself offered it up on a platter.
Then, the host of "Last Week Tonight" had to drink a "disgusting" beer.
In a rant delivered on his HBO show on May 31, Oliver pleaded with FIFA sponsors to "make Sepp Blatter go away."
In return, he promised to wear a pair of Adidas' "ugly shoes." He pledged to take a bite out of every item on the McDonald's dollar menu. He even said he would drink one of Budweiser's "disgusting items."
Sure enough, Oliver delivered on Sunday night's episode, doing all of those things ... and chugging a Bud Light Lime in one go.
The host noted that it wasn't certain whether FIFA's sponsors had anything to do with Blatter's departure.
But what does it matter? The man is on his way out, and now we've all had a great laugh.
As for the FIFA scandal, we're holding our collective breath. There must be more to come.
