#DistractinglySexy: Hospital For Sick Children Has The Best Response To Scientist's Sexist Remarks

Well done, Sick Kids Hospital. Well done.

When the scientists at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children aren't busy saving lives, they're making awesome jokes.

The employees at the hospital's Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning had the perfect response to Nobel Prize winner Tim Hunt's opinion on the need for segregated laboratories.

Earlier this week, Hunt told journalists in South Korea that women and men shouldn't be in the same labs, as having ladies around eventually leads to one of three things: "You fall in love with them, they fall in love with you, and when you criticize them, they cry."

While female scientists all around the world are denouncing his statement by posting photos of themselves working on social media using the hashtag #distractinglysexy, the Toronto hospital – also known as Sick Kids – is taking things to a new level.

Neeti Vashi, a graduate student at the research centre, posted this photo on Instagram Friday, adding "14th floor Sick Kids, you're hilarious."

"CAUTION/ATTENTION," the sign reads. "MIXED GENDER LAB. Floor may be wet due to tears shed. Falling in love not permitted."

Well done, Sick Kids. Well done.
