Victoria Nader wasn't sure she wanted to sit down when she reached the summit of Pedra da Gรกvea, one of the world's highest peaks that overlooks an ocean.
But Leonardo Pereira insisted. They sat together, and soon enough, Nader found herself dangling over a 2,769-foot cliff, hanging high over Rio de Janeiro, ABC News reported.
They've been a couple ever since.
Pereira, 23, and Nader, 18, first met while climbing Pedra da Gรกvea three months ago, he told The Huffington Post Canada.
He helped her descend from a rock and they began talking every day until he invited her to climb to the summit with him once more.
Since then, their idea of a date has been hiking to the summit of Pico da Bandeira, Brazil's third-highest mountain; climbing a telephone pole that's 50 metres high; and rappeling down an abandoned building in Rio.
They have captured some incredible photos of their adventures on their respective Instagram accounts; sometimes they go so far as to bring along a selfie stick.
"We love adrenaline and adventure things, there's no time or weather that stop us," Pereira, 23, told ABC News.
Pereira described his first time climbing Pedra da Gรกvea to The Daily Mail.
Scared to dangle off of it, he said he just sat on a rock. But he hung off the terrifying cliff the second time he went, and cut his arm while pulling himself back to safety.
"That was the only time I've been worried," he said.
Pereira and Nader won't just limit themselves to rock climbing. ABC News reported they plan on going swimming with great white sharks and going on an African safari.
After dangling off such scary heights, surely animals will prove easy by comparison.
