It's a pretty cool way to spend the Fourth of July weekend.
Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted in Nunavut while he was in Canada's Far North for a camping trip, CBC News reported. The plane he was travelling on touched down in Qikiqtarjuaq, a hamlet of about 500 people. Locals told CBC that DiCaprio's girlfriend said they were camping 40 minutes away from Pond Inlet, one of the country's northernmost communities.
Qikiqtarjuaq resident Dora Kopalie snapped photos of DiCaprio, but he tried to avoid the cameras. His girlfriend, however, didn't seem to mind getting her photo taken.
Newfoundland photographer Shane Howard was in Pond Inlet and wrote on his Instagram account that DiCaprio was in town.
The "Wolf of Wall Street" star and his female camping buddy (who looks a lot like his rumoured girlfriend, model Kelly Rohrbach) were really, really far north. Pond Inlet is located at the northern tip of Baffin Island, at about 72 degrees latitude.
By way of comparison, Grise Fiord, Canada's northernmost civilian community, sits at 76 degrees latitude.
Pond Inlet is a community of approximately 1,300 people that's surrounded by mountains, glaciers and fjords.

DiCaprio's trip comes after his latest film "The Revenant" held a casting call in Yellowknife, N.W.T. last year.
The film, which was shot in British Columbia and Alberta, tells the story of a hunter who is forced to survive on his own after being attacked by a bear.
It is being directed by "Birdman" helmer Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and is set for a U.S. release in December.
DiCaprio, an environmental activist, is no stranger to some of Canada's more remote communities.
Last year, he did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in Alberta's Lake Athabasca alongside some First Nations while touring the oilsands.
