In this moving video, Cindy Crawford shares the story of her little brother dying of leukemia when he was just three years old.
The supermodel was the second oldest in her family of four siblings. Her brother, Jeff, was born when she was about six years old.
When Jeff was two, he was diagnosed with leukemia. At first the kids didn't understand what that meant, but Crawford remembers making many trips to the hospital, which was two hours away, for her brother's treatment.
After rounds of treatments, remissions and the cancer returning, Crawford said she still didn't quite understand what was going on. But her brother knew: “My mother said she found him sitting in his room. He was sitting at his little table, and she said, ‘What are you doing?’ And he said, ‘I’m praying.’ And she said, ‘What are you praying about?’ He said, ‘So that when I die, you’ll be OK.’ As a mom now, I can’t imagine hearing your child say that."
