Canada is kicking butt in the Pan Am Games, with 33 medals to the United States' 24 as of Monday afternoon.
But how would it do in the — snort — PANEM Games? That question came up when we saw this video that was posted to YouTube on July 10.
It plays a monologue by President Snow (Donald Sutherland) from "The Hunger Games" over footage from an ad for Toronto's Pan Am Games.
The monologue works perfectly with footage from the ad by Ontario Tourism. It's also far less sinister than what we're used to hearing from the tyrant who rules Panem.
"Panem today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever," he can be heard saying. And none of it seems evil.
Now we're just wondering how Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark might handle a synchronized swimming competition.
We know that District 12 could never beat Canada!
