Ikea Develops A Phone Pocket Placemat For Those Who Refuse To Disconnect

Time to put your phone in its place at the table.

No phones allowed at the dinner table? Not for long.

Ikea recently released a September catalogue that includes a phone pocket placemat as part of their new SITTNING collection. The dark-hued mats, plates and cutlery are part of the company's latest limited edition line of dinnerware.

While we normally frown on phones at the table, the food porn lovers in all of us appreciate having this little linen pocket at the ready. So now you can snap happily and then put it away without feeling like you're missing something.

And don't worry — if you're waiting on an important call, just keep the phone face up in the pocket, and you'll still see that screen light up. Just remember to take it away from the table once you pick up.

Ikea Canada tells The Huffington Post Canada the collection will debut here on September 1, and will be available only until quantities last.
