Perez Hilton's 'Full House' Musical Role Will Show The Other Side Of Bob Saget

He says his character arc is literally "insane".

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is stepping onto the theatre stage again but this time his role might surprise you.

The former bad boy of the blogosphere will play beloved television dad, Danny Tanner, in National Lampoon’s Full House the Musical! A Tanner Family Parody! . The unauthorized show puts an adult spin on the hit family sitcom from the nineties.

The show will run from Aug. 18 to Sept. 6 in Toronto. If the name National Lampoon looks familiar, that's because they're behind other theatre parodies like "Bayside! The Musical" and "Showgirls! The Musical" that performed in Canada.

Hilton visited the HuffPost Canada studio to tells us how he landed the gig and what fans can expect from his take on one of Bob Saget's most iconic roles.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story misstated the number of times Perez Hilton has performed in musicals. This version has been updated.
