Shelly Kent, Georgia Mom, Brings In Jazz Band To Get Daughter Out Of Bed

One Georgia mom regularly struggles to get her 10-year-old daughter Sophie out of bed in time for school, so she decided to call in some reinforcements.

Shelly Kent, who lives in Cumming, Ga., told Today.com that Sophie is known to hit the snooze button several times. So instead of being roused by her mom one morning, Sophie awoke to the stylings of a five-piece jazz band.

Local radio show "The Bert Show" helped Kent pull off this joke. Associate producer Davi Crimmins told Today.com that they recently put out a call for parents who have trouble getting their kids up in time for school.
