If you're searching for the perfect public restroom in Canada, look no further than Alberta.
Cintas Canada's Best Restroom Contest announced its top five finalists for the most marvelous loo in the country, and three of them are located in the Wild Rose province.
In Calgary, the London-inspired Tommyfield Gastro Pub (920-19489 Seton Crescent S.E.) and the elegant Bank & Baron P.U.B. (125 8th Avenue S.W.) make the cut, while the Renassaince Hotel in Edmonton (4236 36th Street East) represents with its lipstick-themed lavatory.
In Ontario, the stylish 1000 Islands Duty Free in Landsdowne is the province's only finalist, while the BNA Brewing Company & Eatery in Kelowna, B.C. rounds out the offerings from across the country.
Finalists were chosen for cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements.
Alberta bathrooms have fared well in the past. In 2013, a gas station bathroom in rural Alberta won the "King of Thrones" title, believe it or not.
Voting is now open to the public, and closes Oct. 9. The winner will be announced this fall.
