A North Vancouver man should give a seminar on how to be a gracious host after he came home to find a drunk stranger passed out and snuggled up in his bed.
Instead of kicking him to the curb or calling the cops, the homeowner — identified on Reddit as Jordan — actually offers him a tour of the house and gives up the spare bedroom.
The exchange that was caught on video, is the gift that just keeps on giving. (Watch above.)
"Dude, you're in the completely wrong house. You've never seen me before in your life," says the homeowner as he wakes the stranger.
The drunken intruder mumbles back: "I really just wanna go to sleep. You know my brother, silly."
When the homeowner confirms he's never heard of this brother, the guest (incorrectly) replies from under the covers: "Oh, that's OK. I own this bed. I literally own it. I pay taxes for this bed."
On that note, Jordan suggests a tour of the house, during which we learn that the drunken man used to live there.
Then comes the key question: "Do you still live here?"
And the best-ever response after a lengthy pause: "Oh, man."
In the end, the amused host lets the poor fellow crash on a spare bed anyway.
Three cheers for Jordan, eh?
