Sainte-Sabine Home Selling For $143,900. And A BIG Catch.

You'll be paying for this home in more risk than cash.

At $143,900, this two-storey home in a little town outside Montreal looks like a steal.

But look inside, and you'll see precisely why it's going for so little, relatively speaking.

Sainte-Sabine Home Selling For $143,900

The home, with 3,610 sq. ft. of living area, has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an attached garage on a wooded lot in the town of Sainte-Sabine, a community of approximately 1,120 people that's about an hour's drive from Montreal.

Pictures accompanying the property's RE/MAX listing also show it needs LOTS of fixing.

The listing says the house was once used in the service of a "drug culture," and is now in a dire state of disrepair, making a great opportunity for any new builders or contractors.

Images from inside show holes in walls, insulation falling out of a ceiling and tiles hanging from above.

It's only selling for cash, with no guarantee as to the quality of the home.

The house does, however, sit on an 85,846 sq.-ft. property, and is close to schools, a park and a highway.

So there's plenty of opportunity for a little cash ... and a LOT of work to make it livable.
