Brothers Welcome Babies At Exact Same Minute Of Same Day

"What are the odds?"

We’ve heard of siblings having babies on the same day, but two brothers from North Carolina took things to another level. They welcomed babies at the exact same minute.

The newborns of Steve Thayer, 34, and Matt Thayer, 31, arrived on March 20 at exactly 6:53 p.m.

“We thought we'd have them really close together, but we never thought the same day, let alone the same time!” Matt told People.

Matt and his wife Brooke are now first-time parents to a daughter named Cassidy. The couple had no idea that Matt’s older brother Steven also welcomed a child at the exact same time. Newborn Benjamin is Steven and wife Fawn’s third child.

Originally, Brooke’s due date was March 20 and Fawn’s was March 23. When the babies were born on the same day at the same time, Brooke said: “It was a shock. I was absolutely amazed. What are the odds?

This isn’t the first time a story about siblings and their babies has blown us away. Back in September, three Irish sisters gave birth on the exact same day, while their fourth sister was expecting as well.
