Swedish Football Player's Farts Get Him Sent Off πŸ’¨

He called the referee a "buffoon."

Football.

The beautiful game. A sport that captivates billions around the world and commands so much passion it can divide lovers, countries and continents.

It's also apparently a sport where you can get kicked off the field for farting.

The Guardian reports a Swedish football player faced some β€œbizarre circumstances” after a referee gave him a second yellow card and sent him off for unleashing gas on the pitch.

'Deliberate provocation'

β€œI had a bad stomach, so I simply let go," player Adam Lindin Ljungkvist explained.

"I don’t get it but maybe he thought I farted in my hand and threw the fart at him. But I did not.”

Referee Dany Kako accused Ljungkvist of "unsportsmanlike behaviour," according to Sky Sports. He said the player's wind breaking was done on purpose and considered it "deliberate provocation."

Player calls ref 'buffoon'

"Once, there was a player who stood and peed next to the pitch. I showed him a yellow card, too," Kako said.

Ljungkvist called the ordeal was " the strangest thing I have ever experienced on a football field," according to Goal.com.

The player told Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet that after the match he talked to the referee and called him a "buffoon."
