Even J.K. Rowling Wished For Magic As Stunning Brexit Results Rolled In

In the wee hours of Friday, when it became clear Brexiters were going to get their way, J.K. Rowling wished for some wizardry.

A fan had tweeted at the British author to “do something” when the UK's referendum results began leaning in favour of the “Leave” campaign.

By night’s end 52 per cent of Britons voted to wingardium leviosa their country out of the European Union.

Prime Minister David Cameron resigned. Scotland’s first minister said a referendum in that country is now “highly likely” — again.

And in London, where residents voted strongly to remain, talks of independence are in the air.

Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.
