President Obama Meets Alex, The Boy Who Offered His Home To Syrian Child

"I liked your letter so much, I ended up reading it to everybody."

Remember that six-year-old boy who wrote to President Obama, offering his home to a Syrian child? Well, he just met the President.

In the video above, Alex shakes hands with the American leader in the Oval Office. A video of the young boy reading his letter went viral because of his incredible kindness.

In it, Alex offers his home to Omran Daqneesh, 5, who had been photographed after surviving an explosion in Aleppo.

President Obama shared Alex's letter with world leaders, saying: "The humanity that a young child can display, who hasn’t learned to be cynical, or suspicious, or fearful of other people because of where they’re from, or how they look, or how they pray, and who just understands the notion of treating somebody that is like him with compassion, with kindness -- we can all learn from Alex."
