Burnt Toronto House Is Unsafe To Enter And On Sale For $599K

The home is being sold with "no warranties whatsoever."

A Toronto home is on sale for $599,000 — which doesn't seem bad given the current state of the housing market. But there are a few major catches.

The house, listed this week on Realtor.ca by Remax sales representative Gianni Melchiorre, is billed as a single family home with a detached garage in the city's Keelesdale-Eglinton West neighbourhood. Oh, and it was destroyed by a fire in 2014, and is still "full of fire debris," according to the posting.

Located on 102 Ypres Rd., the house has zero bathrooms and bedrooms, likely because the building structure itself is "extremely unsafe to enter."

And it doesn't stop there.

Whoever buys the property (seriously, who would do this), must do so without looking at the interior of the house, because realtors have been advised not to enter it. It also comes with "no warranties whatsoever."

The listing says the property is being solely sold for land value. Actual homes in the same neighbourhood sell for an average price of $638,061, according to Zolo.com.

A truly tantalizing offer, but nah.
