Putin's Anti-Gay Agenda is Scary

In Canada, the vast majority of religious people and secular people support the principle that we should show great love and respect to all people, no matter race, creed, colour or sexual orientation. This is as much a part of our Canadian way of life as "Everyone has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." is a part of the American way of life.

In North America, we mean the above, and if it means pulling out of the Olympic games in Russia, over Putin's violation of human rights and Gay bashing, so be it.

As an Evangelical Christian, I have homosexual friends and we love each other. They understand that my concern that they should not do this is for their health and well being. We agree to disagree, we respect each other, we love each other, and this is as it should be.

But as an Evangelical Christian, I know we have a lot of our own issues in Canada to worry about too. For example, we should have an abortion law in Canada that stops the procedure after 20 weeks, because medical science has proven that the fetus has a heart beat and feels pain by then. I am trusting the Canadian Medical Association already approves of and practices this, and really, it is just a matter of winning over the hyper-sensitive, "politically correct" "old old old radical feminist" liberal, left, "never ever admit they made a mistake" Canadian main line media.

Also, Putin, as the dictator of Russia, is also scary for the "what if" scenario, of Russia selling arms to Iran and they attack Israel, but that's a different story.

Once again, "We should show great love and respect to all people, no matter race, creed, colour or sexual orientation." and "Everyone has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.", including, 20-week-old babies that have a heart beat and can feel pain.
