Tired of Almond Milk? Try These Coconut Milk Smoothies!

If you're someone who loves smoothies and have been using almond milk, then why not shake things up a bit? (Sorry, I couldn't help the pun on this one).

Coconut milk is a fantastic way to get in those healthy fats which we're seeing all over the media because we finally recognize just how important fats are to our bodies. Still scared of fat? Fat does not make you fat, sugar does! In fact, the fat in coconut milk is called a medium-chain triglyceride which gets metabolized differently in liver and isn't stored as fat in the body. Not to mention adding it into smoothies is a wonderful, creamy way to change things up in your world.

So in the video above, I've provided you with three smoothie recipes that I think you're going to love. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect to see:

Blueberry Beautifying Smoothie: Rich in foods that actually build collagen in the skin, giving us a more youthful glow.

Hormone-Balancing Velvet Smoothie: This smoothie is perfect for those of you looking to balance out your hormones in a delicious way.

Hot Chocolate Orange Smoothie: Just when you thought smoothies only came chilled, think again. This great smoothie recipe is heated and perfect for those chilly nights!

So in the meantime, check out some dairy alternatives like coconut milk and give your nuts a break ;)
