Dublin has changed a lot over the past 15 years. The boom of the late '90s transformed a struggling, down-at-heel city into a flash, cash-rich, expensive city break destination. The economic hardship of the last two years have seen a new Dublin emerge -- a place where a DIY ethos encourages people to get involved in their city, where things don't have to cost a lot to be good, and where people with innovative and creative ideas are given a chance.

Over the past few years, lots of great new vintage shops have popped up, offering good vintage clothes at reasonable prices. The vintage scene continues to thrive here, especially now that we have more to choose from.
