Hey there! I'm Terri Higgins, the Group Manager for the Calgary Home + Garden Show. Over the next few weeks I'll be interviewing some of this year's 650+ exhibitors and design experts to help cultivate some big ideas for your home and garden projects.
I recently just moved into a new house, so in-between planning for the Home + Garden Show, I'm organizing and designing my new space. I have one child with another on the way in a few months, so it's important to me that my home is comfortable and inviting but also functional for a growing family. Needless to say, home design means everything to me right now!
It may seem a little early to plan for spring re-design, but as the Calgary saying goes, 'if you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes!' Although it isn't too warm outside at the moment, flowers will be blooming around the city before you know it! So, now is a perfect time to start looking for inspiration to refresh your home for spring.
Personally, I find inspiration everywhere, from nature and travel, to the people I surround myself with. Of course, I'm always motivated by the creative ideas presented at the Home + Garden Show and I'm curious to find out how others capture their design favourites through the upcoming interviews!
