J.S. Vijaya is an experienced criminal trial lawyer who has been practicing in the Toronto area since 1997. Vijaya grew up in the infamous Jane and Finch area in Toronto and lived in the Ontario Housing Projects for more than 15 years.

He went on to graduate from York University on the Dean’s Honour Roll, with an undergraduate degree in psychology, and obtained his law degree from Windsor Law School.

Vijaya has successfully defended hundreds of clients accused of a wide variety of criminal charges, including first-degree murder, armed robbery, possession of handguns, sexual assault, possession for the purpose of trafficking narcotics and being a member of a criminal organization. He also focuses a portion of his practice on defending young people charged with criminal offenses.
