Julianne Bisnaire, a 14-year-old Toronto-area native, won the coveted role of Chief Play Officer (CPO) for Toys“R”Us Canada during the summer of 2011 after entering the Search for the Next Chief Play Officer competition in July of that year. Julianne’s submission highlighted her long-time love of toys and desire to provide Canadians with an expert knowledge on the toy and gaming industry.

Julianne comes from a large, diverse family that embraces Canadian life. She is always the first to try and share new toys and experiences with her friends and family. As the newly appointed Chief Play Officer for Toys“R”Us, Julianne is thrilled to help parents across Canada make their kid’s world a playful place by exploring new toys and ways to have fun!

As a “toy aficionado,” the Chief Play Officer’s job is to test the latest toy trends and help adults wade through the toy jungle when it comes to knowing what’s hot for little ones. Considered to be “the best job in the world” by adults and children alike, Julianne can expect a full year of play and new experiences to come as the new CPO. Social media blogging, television appearances across the country, walking in Toronto’s Santa Claus Parade and attending other events are among the expected duties and experiences that await her.
