Laurie Edmiston is the Executive Director of CATIE, Canada’s source for HIV and hepatitis C information.

In the more than 25 years since Laurie began working in the HIV/AIDS sector, she has developed HIV prevention and support programs geared to diverse populations including street youth, sex trade workers, and people who use drugs. Before taking up her role at CATIE, Laurie served as the Executive Director of Toronto People with AIDS Foundation, the Interim Director of AIDS Support Services at the AIDS Committee of Toronto, and the Manager of YouthLink-Inner City.

She currently serves as a member of the Ontario Advisory Committee on HIV/AIDS to the Ontario Minister of Health and Long-Term Care. In 2003, Laurie was inducted into the Ontario AIDS Network Honour Roll.
