Mark Leiren-Young never met an overtime he wouldn't watch and was in the stands for the sixth longest playoff game in NHL history (Canucks-Dallas, 2007). The winner of the Leacock Medal for Humour for his comic memoir, Never Shoot a Stampede Queen (which he’s adapting for its theatrical debut next Spring), Mark is currently touring Greener Than Thou-- a new solo comedy about the challenges of being environmentally correct. Mark’s most recent book This Crazy Time -- Living Our Environmental Challenge – which he wrote with/about controversial environmentalist Tzeporah Berman is due out in paperback in August. Mark is half of the musical comedy duo Local Anxiety and co-wrote the song Hockey Nut in Canada which has been played in arenas across Canada. The playoffs are only starting round two and hockey season is already over.
