Italy is known for its rich culture, delicious food, breathtaking architecture, effortless style, and most importantly, its parties. Wednesday, July 11th marked the second annual Terrazza di Peroni, celebrating summer atop Vancouver's Art Gallery.

The event showcased Italy's La Dolce Vita, the Sweetness of Life. From the magnificent Rome-like venue, we were greeted with a line-up of the ever-iconic Vespa by Piaggio, and Federico Fellini's sumptuous 1960 film, La Dolce Vita, projected on the wall. White curtains gracefully draped over the venue complemented the romantic gathering.

Linen blazers, stripes and gingham, paisley, shorts, maxi dresses, floral and watercolor prints dominated the venue as Vancouverites showed up in their effortlessly chic Italian looks. The rest of my night was spent meeting new people, catching up with friends, beer drinking and some oyster tasting.

Italy's blue-ribbon lager, Peroni Nastro Azzurro.
