The B.C. RCMP employs more than 9,500 people in 390 communities providing municipal, provincial and federal policing. About 7,000 are RCMP officers who work in front-line policing such as emergency call response, criminal investigations, traffic services and crime prevention. B.C. Mounties also work on initiatives beyond provincial borders such as organized crime, immigration and national security.
