After years of delays that frustrated consumers and spooked investors, BlackBerry maker Research In Motion announced the unveiling of its next-generation smartphones and operating system, the BlackBerry 10, to take place at the end of January, 2013. While the new generation of phones is expected to be vastly superior to current BlackBerrys, featuring a line of full-screen touch-screen phones as well as RIM's signature QWERTY keyboards, analysts are split on whether the new offering can rescue RIM from years of declining market share.
