Bush-whacking the environment. That's the best way to describe Stephen Harper's George W. Bush-esque approach: When you can't change the laws with public approval, just go ahead and do it any way you can. Unlike Bush, however, much of what Harper is doing is perfectly legit.
In West Virginia, the natural heritage is being destroyed through mountaintop removal mining. The state of West Virginia is, in some respects, like my home province of New Brunswick. The loss or destruction of these natural characteristics would represent a grave loss to us.
