When the email screamed at me from my inbox, I did think about it quite seriously. Did I know someone else, younger, who had written six books on parenting, had four children, and had been at the business of parenting for 25 years, and the parenting business for 15, after spending 18 years in corporate marketing?
I am proud of where I am today and who I have become. I am the result of all of my experiences -- the good, the bad, and the not so good. And, I wouldn't go back and change a thing. So, to those that I have worked with, worked for, and known throughout that almost 40 years of workplace experience, thank you. You are part of my whole.
The best schools want you to be discerning. They're not interested in those who only appear to be seeking credentials. Credential collecting is an immature approach to this important decision.

If you want to know where to find millennials on social media, it is without doubt on Instagram. As a generation, millennials have a longing to share their experiences whether big or trivial. Instagram allows them with a platform to do so by posting and sharing photos. It's quick, it's easy, and for many it seems to have become a hobby.

Your past accomplishments as evidence of your future potential. There's really only one skill that matters at the end of the day. It is your ability to achieve results -- they care about what you can do with what you know.

Documenting and preserving their stories, their legacy, is so crucial now as a way to offer younger generations a chance to learn from them. My fear is they might become a generation reserved for casual historical mentions of the times they lived in, their memories and lessons forgotten and lost forever.
