I was shocked when I heard about the death of my friend Carlos Fonseca two weeks ago. He was in Ginnie Springs, Florida about to start exploring a cave system called The Devil's Spring. The following day rumours started to circulate on a couple of diving forums that Carlos had died while inside the system. How he died is not really known.
I have to admit that along with other non-race fans, it was more of an annoyance than a great day out. But St. Pete's changed all that. I was on holiday with my kids, and in a gorgeous place for a car race. And to top it all off, a Canadian racer we hadn't known at the time, James Hinchcliffe, ended up the winner.
My husband and I really wanted to take our own five young kids to Walt Disney World. My family had such a great time at Disney, that my kids are still talking about it two months later -- and constantly asking to go back!
