Gregor Robertson has been the Mayor of Vancouver since 2008 as part of the Vision Vancouver party slate. He served as a B.C. NDP MLA for Vancouver Fairview from 2005 to 2008 when he resigned to run for mayor.
Upon graduation from Carson Graham Secondary in North Vancouver, Robertson intended to be a doctor. When his med school application was rejected by UBC, he travelled the world and lived in New Zealand where he began farming. Robertson returned to Canada and went on to co-found Happy Planet, a Vancouver-based company that makes organic fruit drinks.
