There are going to be a lot of new, exciting, innovative style trends for both guys and women in 2017! Recently, I was lucky enough to speak with two leading designers from Vancouver - Reuben and Lévi Uwi of U.T.F.L. (Uwi Twins Fashion Label). Their style and clothes are as unique as their story.
For those of you who grew up in a later era (or, perhaps, haven't fully caught up with the rest of Canadian society since those heady days), let me remind you why critics urged guys to burn their tight denim and labelled men who wore the style as less-than: skinny jeans were feminine, and feminine -- for guys -- means "bad." Substitute any other vaguely feminine trend, from floral prints to makeup for men, and it's the same story. But we've made so much progress since then, right?

We hear a lot about women’s fashion and beauty woes. Some say the bra is the most uncomfortable garment ever created and that putting makeup on every morning can be a real nuisance. But what about th...

For some of the men who have spent the past months hibernating instead of socializing, your facial appearance may have let itself go over the winter season. While I will respect that there are guys who have been diligent in keeping their personal care at a respectable level, on the flip side, there are also a handful of guys who'll need to go through a grooming spring checklist in order to catch up prior to summer.

Men who accept the cold, Arctic pastures as home fall into five distinct categories of clothing style. These categories are all relative to a guy's interests, opinions, and how frost bitten their hands get at the end of the day. Let's see what category you (or a guy you know) falls into, shall we?
What makes a car worth $6 million dollars? Beyond the custom cars and vintage collectables, undefeated performance at this price can only exist in the megacar production class, self-introduced by Swedish automaker Koenigsegg.

At a glance, your suit confirms your gentleman status, while at the same time it empowers you to be the manwho you aspire to be. "Don't get caught wearing an ill-fitting suit" is the new "Don't get caught with your pants down."

I was standing in line at my local McDonald's when the person behind me asked, "Is that a plaid shirt you're wearing?" I was flustered, my face turned a crimson red and I quickly exited the restaurant. It was only when I sat down inside my car in the parking lot that I realized what had happened: I'd been plaid-shamed.

A few weeks ago, we showed you 20 Indian actresses in the worlds of Hollywood and Bollywood that have amazing style, and now it's time for the men! These actors are totally nailing it in terms of styl...
I was born and raised in Kleefeld, Manitoba. I rode dirt bikes, shot guns, and my first paycheques came from cleaning out chicken and hog barns. I've never been a fashion guy. Now my career has evolved to keynote speaker, wellness consultant, and health writer. My newest skill sets include making a killer cup of coffee, and schmoozing. I need to add to that, fashionable.
If we as a society could decide that appearances were equally important to men as to women, that would be an important step in levelling the playing field at work. Trust me guys you won't regret the move. Consider it progress.
For some reason, guys don't get as much criticism for what they wear as women do (see: Miley Cyrus), and yet so many of them don't have a clue how to dress or they just don't care. Simon Cowell is one...
I saw someone wearing parachute pants the other day. It reminded me that clothing and fashion goes out of style and then comes back in again. Yet there remains several fashion choices that need to forever say in the "DO NOT RESUSCITATE" category. What follows are five things you won't see me wearing...and that no grown man should be wearing.
Larry Rosen was born with the clothing business in his blood. It's not surprising, as his father, was Harry Rosen, founder of the famous Canadian men's retailer, founded in 1954.
Seated at the five-star establishment where we were dining, I looked around at all the other women in the room who had clearly made a similar effort. Nice work, ladies. And then my eyes wandered to the boys, I mean men, in the room. There were sweatshirts everywhere. Too-long pants sitting below the butt crack, scuffed sneakers, and yes, baseball caps. Some even turned off-centre.

As the little black dress is the epitome of fashion staple to women, the suit is to men. Barnabus "Barney" Stinson from 'How I Met Your Mother' knows it, and all of the lads in your life should too. W...
A friend of mine just showed me Taika Waititi's TED talk from TEDxDOHA and I was really impressed with his perspective on creativity and success. Waititi's notion of success as being communication, and of creativity being linked to seeing things through the lens of a child, left me wondering how all of this relates to style. One can most certainly have creativity without style but I believe that the inverse is not true.
