You've just been invited to a high-profile business function, and you know it could be a great opportunity to network and meet potential clients or perhaps make a good impression on a job prospect. It is all about putting your best foot forward and you can make this networking opportunity work for you by following these five tips.
Plainly, even if you think you have connections -- you likely don't. It is not unless you have made a connection to someone...you developed that connection through a number of interactions, that you might be able to call them a connection. This matters not though.
I often see articles that I know would be of interest to someone else that I've met, or come across a lead that will be helpful, so I pass it on. It is an easy way to stay connected and it makes you memorable as someone who is genuinely interested in helping others.
Women are more patient and are prepared to wait before finalizing the sale, which men would likely argue is not time efficient. But if in the long term it nets the same result, who is to quibble over the strategy to getting there?
