Our kids are often most receptive to advice when it starts at home. The best time to begin is now. For example, even preschoolers are ready to start thinking about finances. If they know mommy or daddy goes off to work, they can understand why -- the answer is to earn money.
These five lessons made me a personal finance expert and provided the foundation for an awesome life. Money is a fuel for all the things that you want to be do in life and being smart with it makes things easier. Get your kids to understand and love money as soon as you can. Hard work and mastering money will take them the distance.
February 4 of this year was a momentous day for numismatists as the Canadian Mint officially stopped distribution of the one-cent coin, the penny. While the reaction from Canadians was mixed, there was a general consensus that the loss was still a sad end to a 105-year era. The moment was also a sombre day for those striving to improve public health.
