The main problem I faced was a distorted belief system. I felt that love came with accomplishments and accolades. I didn't believe that I was good enough to love as is. When love is missing, a lot of negative stuff comes out of the woodwork: anger, resentment, fear, jealousy.
Instead of trying to do something massively challenging, you try getting yourself where you want to go one little step at a time. A friend of mine has been unwittingly proving how well this works. He wanted a chance to play his bass guitar, so he set up a space in his house for the necessary amps, mics and a drum kit. And here's what happened.

Despite the lovely pink ribbon, toxic ingredients are polluting us. Maybe it's just the cynic in me, but I think it should be common sense that we can't shop our way to a cure -- especially by listening to companies who claim to be supporting us and fighting breast cancer, while selling products that can contribute to causing the very disease.
Almost all of our communication about climate change and sustainability is about how bad things are going to get if we don't change our ways -- floods, droughts, crop failures, coastal cities underwater and so on. All the evidence of how we are screwing things up can overload people, but when they see a new world arriving that might be better than the old one, they get excited.
It's not like I want to give credit to huge retailers and big food for making change, and I'm certainly not advocating for anyone to start eating fast food, or shopping big box before local indie. But...
Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed with the many responsibilities in life? There are times you probably feel you can't possibly make it all work, ending each day feeling hopelessly behind schedule and possibly anxious, irritable or depressed. Rather than buckling under the pressure of an impossible to-do list, you should take a moment to view the larger perspective.
