Maya is a brown-striped tabby female, who was born in the spring of 2002. That October, her owner dropped a box over a bridge with her, a rabbit and three unweaned kittens in it. All but Maya found homes. She was adopted once but returned as she cannot adapt to a new home without Livia -- a black-and-white female cat.

The old saying "No news is good news" was never said by a journalist. No news = no customers. We feel like bored salespeople, constantly re-arranging the goods in the front window. This isn't to say we wish ill or disaster upon the world (not openly anyway). But is it wrong to wish for more than, say, the Tony Clement/Ezra Levant/Norman Bethune controversy?
