This was sort of bound to happen.
Reincarnated doc, which debuted to a standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival, is not an ambiguous experience. The film explores both Snoop's life and his journey through Jamaica -- from writing and recording a reggae album (also called Reincarnated) to meeting Bunny Wailer to his baptism at a ceremony in the Nyabinghi Temple -- all done with a deft and sometimes brutally honest hand.
6:26PM -- Snoop Lion is in the house. Time to get Reincarnated. 8:56PM -- "Is that Snoop Dogg?": Overheard from a young boy in the lounge at TIFF Bell Lightbox as we ushered Snoop and the team into the freight elevator.
2:30AM -- Finally leaving the office to sneak in a few hours sleep before the show begins!
7:23AM -- Alarm did not go off as planned, ominous start. Jumped in the shower, threw on some heels and squeezed into a packed streetcar headed towards TIFF Bell Lightbox, my home away from home.
