Here's the thing: style is completely subjective. It's also ever changing. Yes there are (so-called) rules and guidelines, do's and don'ts, ins and outs, but style itself is, or should be, a personal, individual thing -- an expression of and extension of the self.
The leaves have been the most brilliant shades of scarlet and gold, but now many of them are lifeless and limp, lying in puddles on the street. There are dazzling moments filled with colour and sunshine and in the next instant, everything is grey. Who can keep up? Maybe it's time that we create our own sunshine.

The finale has been presented and the fun and excitement has been had for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia. Although I previously had yet to take in the seemingly more sybarite presentations of the laid back yet poised superlative city of the Southern Hemisphere, I'm pleased as pie to have gotten to report on the collections this year.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am so ready for spring that I've already started updating my wardrobe. I'm actually not convinced that the sun still exists. So what to do? Well, I guess it's up to us to keep our spirits up and make our own sunshine.
It seems that every time I write a post about heels, I get numerous comments from women basically dismissing the post and telling me that they just can't wear heels. This makes me a little sad because while you can wear whatever you want if it makes you feel good, I don't think you should have to stay away from a shoe just because you think you can't.
