When you hear the names "Whistler-Blackcomb" or "Sunshine Village," you probably don't think about summer. June, July and August may not be the best months to throw on your snow gear and conquer the steeps, but they are the best months for action-packed thrills, sightseeing and adventuring at your favourite ski resorts.

I met with them in Sasquatch Provincial Park, where we set off on an all-terrain vehicle for an adventure in the mountains, where we were intent on finding the elusive wonder and to catch sight of some stunning views.
Featuring a non-stop series of free outdoor concerts, innovative pro fashion, photography and film competitions and industry parties, World Ski & Snowboard Festival takes Whistler by storm each April. And after sampling the opening weekend of this year's edition, I can safely say that this 10-day party is well worth attending -- even if you don't know a half pipe from a drain pipe.
