The Alberta floods have washed away homes, lives, hopes and dreams. They came quickly and did away with places we loved, mementos and our sense of safety.

But just as quickly, neighbours came to the rescue and strangers became life savers.

The Alberta floods have changed the province and have changed who we are. They have damaged us but have also re-strengthened our sense of community.

Are you stranded? Have you lost your home? Have you even seen it? Did you come to the aid of another? Did another help you?

Are you from Canmore, Calgary, High River, Okotoks, Medicine Hat, Siksika or Drumheller?

If you have a story to share, we want to hear it. Let's reconnect as a community by sharing our personal trials, our tales of perseverance, our loss, our experience.

Share your story - short or long - with us through Facebook, Twitter or email.

Our flood, our story...
