This stuff that Mitt Romney doesn't "relate" to ordinary people is a smokescreen. What presidential candidate is mindful of ordinary folk? They're all millionaires. Romney's appealing virtue is that he's not a Washington insider -- not part of the Beltway cabal who exist on taxpayers' money.

Kenney's Wal-Martization of Immigration

With an announcement last week, Immigration Minister Jason Kenney will allow the tentacles of corporate greed to dictate immigration to Canada. It doesn't take much imagination to guess what kind of worker big businesses would prefer prey upon. A multinational corporation would probably rather tap a foreigner who is willing to work for lower wages than their Canadian counterparts, accept abuses of the Canadian Labour Code and remain silent in the face of improprieties in exchange for permanent residence and happy shareholders.

F-35s: It's Not that They are Expensive. It's that They are Useless.

The F-35s are single engine planes. Asked what will happen if the engine fails, Peter MacKay replied, "It won't." We need planes for search and rescue. The F-35 is not appropriate for search and rescue.
