The 55th Annual Grammy Awards took place on Sunday and the Robert Glasper Experiment nabbed the award for Best R&B Album. The albums up for the award were Robert Glasper Experiment's "Black Radio," Anthony Hamilton's "Back to Love," R. Kelly's "Write Me Back," Tamia's "Beautiful Surprise," and Tyrese's "Open Invitation."

Amber Rose is really pregnant. The model and singer showed off her major baby bump Sunday night at the 55th annual Grammy Awards. Rose -- who's known for showing some serious skin on a night out -- covered her bump in a tasteful black dress.

The Grammy pre-telecast awards show got under way Sunday afternoon at the Nokia Theatre with 70 trophies up for grabs, including rock, pop, rap and country categories. Rihanna's "We Found Love," featuring Calvin Harris, won the day's first award, short form music video. Mumford & Sons took their first Grammy, winning along with Old Crow Medicine Show and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros for their long form video documentary "Big Easy Express." Celebrities also began rolling down the red carpet in the early afternoon, but it remained to be seen if any would try to skirt CBS's mandate that stars dress appropriately with butts, breasts and other sensitive areas covered adequately. "I think it's just, you know, we should always stay classy and dress according to the event that's being held," Ashanti said on the red carpet. "So I don't think people should be limited so much and told what you can and cannot do. But, you know, you do have to have a certain class and prestige about yourself."

Frank Ocean, the R&B standout of the year, is nominated for six awards at the 2013 Grammys. The Odd Future member and "Thinking About You" singer lined up nods for Best New Artist, Record of the Year ("Thinkin Bout You"), Album of the Year ("channel Orange") categories, Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best Rap Sung Collaboration (with Kanye West and Jay-Z on "No Church in the Wild") and Best Short Form Music Video (for "No Church in the Wild"). That ties Ocean with Kanye West, Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys, fun., Jay-Z and Mumford & Sons, who each remarkable scored six nominations. Ocean was heavily favored as a nominee for Best New Artist, much-deserved hype built on the strength of not only his debut studio album, "channel ORANGE," but also his earlier mixtapes (his self-released "nostalgia ULTRA" was rated one of the best albums of 2011). Come Feb. 10, 2013, Ocean could be among the more decorated musicians at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.

Album of the Year Nominees for the 2013 Grammys have been announced, with heavy favorite Mumford & Sons ("Babel") joining Frank Ocean ("channel ORANGE"), The Black Keys ("El Camino"), fun. ("Some Nights") and Jack White ("Blunderbuss"). "Babel" is on the lips of many speculators, particularly because the album strikes the right balance of commercial success and critical appeal. The album moved 600,000 copies in its first week of sales, which was the year's best until Taylor Swift's "Red" debuted with over a million units sold.

Carly Rae Jepsen did not receive a nomination for Best New Artist during the Grammy Nominations Concert Live! on Wednesday night. Jepsen, who sang the hit Top-40 single "Call Me Maybe" was left off the list of five Best New artist nominees. In place of Jepsen are Alabama Shakes, fun., Hunter Hayes, The Lumineers and Frank Ocean. As previously reported, Rolling Stone had predicted Ocean, The Lumineers and Hayes as possibilities to grab a nomination, as well as Jepsen. The 27-year-old Jepsen enjoyed incredible success in 2012 thanks to "Call Me Maybe." As Billboard noted, the song debuted on the Hot 100 in March and hit the top of the chart in June. Per Billboard, "Call Me Maybe" "sold 6.1 million downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan, making it the second-biggest-selling digital song of 2012."

ALBUM OF THE YEAR: Swift's Red would have been the obvious choice, but it missed the cut-off date. Fortunately, Mumford & Sons were more prepared with Babel, which came out on September 24th. "A lock," says Steve Greenberg, former president of Columbia Records and chief executive of S-Curve Records. "Frank Ocean could get a lot of Grammys. His album [Channel Orange] is wonderful and his story suggests an artistic bravery." Also likely to fit the nominating committee's preferred mixture of high sales, artistic merit and potentially-high-TV-ratings performance: Springsteen's Wrecking Ball, Pink's The Truth About Love and Maroon 5's Overexposed. RECORD/SONG OF THE YEAR: Suspense of the year: Will Psy's "Gangnam Style," the most popular YouTube video of all time and an obvious 2012 pop-culture phenomenon, make the list? Or will it seem like "I'm Too Sexy" by next February? "People at present look him as a one-hit wonder," Greenberg says. "It would be ballsy for the Grammys to do it, but I don't know if it has a chance." It was a huge year for singles, as the record industry continued to drift away from albums, so Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know," Maroon 5's "One More Night," Rihanna's "Diamonds," Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and Fun.'s "We Are Young" are likely to compete for real estate in these categories.
