A passion to create, resolve and build evolving organizations
I am a BBC (Black British Canadian) woman with a passion to create, resolve and build. I have had a pretty dynamic career that has led to a solid reputation as a visionary and result-driven leader. I say, simplify the complexity, work WITH people and you have a formula that not only deliver results but forms bonds that will stand the test of time.
I have led numerous initiatives with a geographical scope that has included Canada, US, South America, Europe and Australia.
My professional career spans Biotechnology, Brand & Generic Pharmaceuticals, IBM Business Consulting Services, Healthcare and now New Media. I use to say “now social media” however media is going through exponential change and I enjoy evolving with it. Secondly, I find myself learning and working a number of new media platforms to meet a need to build relationships with my audience. I believe we should be always evolving, filling our “life’s tool kit” so that we are ready and able to leverage opportunities that land on our door.
As well as my academic degrees, I also have a few official certifications, namely, I am a certified practitioner and professional in Change Management (Prosci), Project Management (PMP/PMI) and Social Media (OMCP, Online Marketing Certified Professional).

The recent Women in Health week shines a light on female transformers who are leaders in their own right. Whilst the US is clearly creating a buzz around their female health care transformers, the question is: "What is happening in Canada?" What is our country doing to celebrate and highlight our women in the health industry?
Customers expect your organization to be socially friendly. Social community management and interacting with the public in the social space is a very important role. Corporate leadership in social media should not be absent here. Today, although there are a number of businesses in the social space, there is a marked absence of leadership.
I was struck by the number of patients who had patient blogs and the reasons why they turned to the social web. However what was more enlightening, and at the same time emotionally dampening, were the reasons why many do not tell their doctors about their blogging activities.
