“If Congress was doing its job there would be jobs at livable wages. Fire them, they aren't doing their jobs. When there are jobs at decent wages being offered people line up around the block. Graduates from universities aren't making enough to pay off their student debt. This country is sooooo screwed up and the people who have had wonderful opportunities want to make sure the rest of the country doesn't get educated, doesn't get health care and doesn't get fed. How can they look at themselves in their mirrors?”

“Harper and his "rent a crowd" not only have no respect for Canadians and democracy, they also have no respect for themselves and for good reason, they haven't earned any respect. They should be ashamed of themselves, how can they look at themselves in the mirror? They are an embarassment to Canada and to anyone who voted for them. Disgusting, disreputable and fascist.”

“Jesus taught love and treating others as you would want to be treated. He never spoke against homosexuals or adultery, that was written by men.”

Reggienressa on Jun 21, 2013 at 11:08:45

“How do you know Jesus taught love? It’s because “men” wrote it.  John 8: 1-11 clearly shows that Jesus was against adultery. John the Baptist, who was Jesus’ cousin, was killed for call out the King for adultery. Jesus corrected his disciples and follower when they were wrong and he never corrected the teaching of adultery or homosexuality. People can be for or against it, that’s their business. I don’t like hypocrisy on the Christian side or Non-Christian side. Everything that we know about Socrates and Jesus, etc was written by men. Loving someone isn’t agreeing with their actions. I don’t understand why someone would promote something that speaks against them.

“Now they are teaching what Jesus taught, love!”

Reggienressa on Jun 21, 2013 at 01:32:29

“Yes, Jesus taught love but he also taught obedience. Jesus didn’t show any disagreement with God’s laws. Jesus was not fond of the Pharisee (religious leaders) because of their hypocrisy. Jesus said many times your sins are forgiving but sin no more. So one would need to research what Jews taught and believed sin was. They taught homosexuality was sin and Jesus was a Jew. So I don’t know if you what to promote Jesus. It’s like supporting George W. Bush but not supporting his wars.”

“You haven't pointed out how it is we've been cheated. The point about Liberals' $600M is that this is illustrative of taxpayers being cheated by a party's corruption. Being unhappy about the manner in which Duffy repaid his debt might be cause for concern (if illegal), but the mistake has not come at our expense.”

Duffy and Wright gave the taxpayer the benefit of the doubt and paid the full 90K despite the fact that Duffy's job required him to keep a home in PEI and work in Ottawa.  Meanwhile we're out $600 million due to Ontario's Liberals.  When can we expect to see that money?  Oh yeah, they're 'entitled to their entitlements'.”

“Canadians have been cheated by this scandal, it is our money that pays for these unscrupulous individuals and they want more and more, legaly or illegaly. We deserve to have people of honour serving us in this capacity, of which Harper is not even on nodding terms, but since we don't have people of integrity in office they have legislated ethics. If this is what we're seeing, what is going on that we're not seeing? They have an incredible sense of entitlement paid for by the people they sneer at, us.”

“It has been sent to the RCMP. "A former RCMP superintendent says he's never seen the degree of political control over the Mounties that exists now, and says it "does not bode well" for an objective police investigation of the Senate expense scandal.

Garry Clement, a 30-year veteran of the force who spent more than half those years working in the national capital region, told CTV's Question Period on Sunday that the thrust of the RCMP investigation will likely centre around Section 122 of the Criminal Code and breach of trust." If anyone is found guilty of anything and sentenced I will be very surprised.”

Ghostwalker on May 28, 2013 at 23:11:50

“Breach of trust, s.122 of the CCC......is most likely made out but s80(2) of the Financial Adminisration Act appears to be a slam-dunk prosecution which is made out on the basis of a pattern that extinguishes even an ember of reasonable doubt.”
